Tanya Burr Hollywood eye palette!

Hollywood eye palette

This is such a beautiful palette. If you are looking for a pallete that has some amazing shades from nudes to glittery bronze then this is the palette for you. Tanya's collection is bringing out some amazing paletts but this one is my favourite. I have blue eyes so the copper colour " enchantment" compliments my blue eyes perfectly and the white colour " nude delight" is a great under the brow colour.

The shades are so pigmented and the colour pay off is amazing! They last a long time on the eyelid and the colour stays all day! For me it does start to crease if I haven't put down a base on my lids first this is only because I have oily lids. However I have tried this on others without oily lids and it stays in place. Even if your don't have oily lids I would still recommend putting an eye shadow primer down or even use a concealer they both work well in ensuring that the shadow stays longer. You get your high end pallets like the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette which is also one of my loves but this one is equally as good, there isn't as many shades no. But you can buy more than one pallet for less than the chocolate bar palette which I this is really good, and the pigment is equally as good also.

If you have blue eyes I would definitely recommend this palette because it makes blue eyes POP, also if you're looking for a good palette for an affordable price then this is one for you!

My Life Right Now.

HELLO,

I don't want this to be some depressive post or anything but I thought I owe it to you all to explain the reason I haven't been posting.

Well the main reason is that I have been working none stop all the time with the odd day off! When that day finally comes I am exhausted and all I want to do is recharge and sleep! At the moment I feel as if my life is on pause and nothing is moving and no positive things are happening! Yes that sounds depressing but that isn't how I want it to come across, it's just the way I feel my life is heading! I am stuck in a job, yes I really like the job but it isn't want I want to do! I want to do either advertising or makeup but I just don't know the route in which to get into it! Time is going so quick! 2016 flew by and it's honestly scary! We are not in 2017 and well I'm still waiting for my luck to happen. I feel like since I have left school I have lost friends because we don't see each other every
day, we actually rarely see each other because they have either gone to uni or working.

I really want to get back into blogging, but at the moment I can't because I just don't have the time to do it. I miss writing them because it took me to a place that allowed me to be creative and give you guys my opinion of things that I think could benefit you!

But I promise you guys I will get back into it and I will start to post more often, so hang in there because I will be back!.

Love you

Shannon.

I love night out make up!!

Night out Makeup

I really like night out makeup because it's a time where you can be experimental and be out of you're comfort zone! I love the dark colours, bright lips and contoured cheeks. I really like using dark colours because it makes my eyes stand out! I love using my Chocolate bar pallet because it has a beautiful range of colours. Also I like it because you don't go out very often and it gives you a chance to be feel good about the makeup and show off the skills you can do! I went to a 21st birthday and this is the look I created. The pallet I used was the chocolate bar pallet which is amazing! I used my Revlon Colour Stay foundation, my mac eyeshadow for by brows, my Primark contour kit and some collection lashes! This normally is my go to makeup look, a dark eye and dark lip (Mac stone). I love to be able to show off my skills and go all out on the makeup because when you go out, making your makeup stand out is a good thing and that's what I like about doing my makeup for party's and other events.

Why I love Autumn! 🍂🍂🍂

🍂Autumn is here 🍂

If I am completely honest autumn is my favourite time of the year! It's not quite winter, it's when the leaves turn orange, the candles come out, fluffy jumpers are an essential and the smell of baking fills the room. I love being able to wear cosy clothes, jackets, boots and scarves! You cant forget the colour's, burnt orange, red, yellow and green. I can't express how much I love it!

The smell of cinnamon, spices, leaves fill the air. The scenery looks so beautiful. I really like the way you can wear just a jumper because it's not too cold out and also I like how fluffy coats come back into fashion and turtle necks. And the makeup ohhhh the makeup!  My favourite part! The plumb berry lips, copper eyes! ahhhh I love it! I can't wait to start doing blogs on makeup looks, and also fashion blogs! Another thing I love is the fact Halloween is near and it also means that Christmas is getting closer (63 days to be exact) besides that I just love all things Autumn and just being able to wrap up warm and have nights in with movies and food with that special someone (if you have one). Enough of be blabbing on! I basically love Autumn and everything about it! What's your favourite season?

Everyday Makeup!

Everyday Makeup

So for today's blog I thought I'd give you a low down on how I do my everyday makeup!

So first of all I start off with my clean and clear advantage facial cleanser or my garnier micellar water to clean my skin and remove any excess dirt or oil. I will then apply some of my simple toner on a cotton ball to my face, also apply my simple under eye cream to my eyes.

As for primer I will start off by using my Nivea men's post shave balm, and once this has gone tacky I then apply my W7 prime magic camera ready primer to the areas where I have large pores and also my T zone. Once I have let this sit I will go ahead with my foundation, which is the L'Oreal infallible 24h matte foundation, I will buff this into my skin with a buffing brush until it's all blended well. Once I have done this I will then go in with my Freedom eyebrow pomade on a angled brush and fill my brows. I'm one for doubling things up so I then go in with my collection lasting perfection concealer and apply this to my eyelids as a primer. I tend to use a variety of eye shadow pallets; the one I reach to the most is my freedom pallet! I will choose an eye look and go for it, I never do the same one again each day.

Once my eye look is complete I will go under my eyes with the collection lasting perfection concealer and blend it in with my beauty blender. Once this is done I go in with a great hack and I apply baby powder under my eyes to bake. While this is baking I either go in with my cream contour kit (not sure of the name) or my powder one by Primark and define my cheekbones, sometimes I use both if I am going for a more dramatic look. I will then move on to covering any spots I have with the same collection concealer! I will then go in with my sculpt and bronze duo by MUA and bronze up my face. Finally I will remove the bake and curl my eyelashes with my Barry M curlers and I will then go in with my Maybelline push up drama mascara and apply this to my top and bottom lashes. I will then set my foundation with my Maybelline stay matte powder and finish it all off with a few sprays off my Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray! If I am going to wear a lip colour I will go between Mac's Velvet Teddy and Stone by Mac or if not I will just use some lip balm. OH and I can't forget HIGHLIGHTER and this is my MUA Shimmer Highlighter in Iridescent Gold and I will apply this too my cheekbones, eyebrow bone, and cupids bow. I'm sorry this isn't the best description but hopefully I will be doing a full YouTube video of my everyday makeup more in depth.

Oreo Cheesecake

No bake Oreo Cheesecake!!

This has to be one of my favourite things to make! If you want to treat yourself I recommend making this! You can make it to share, for a party or eat it all yourself if you want! You don't need much because it's really rich but it tastes so so good! I have made this for a few people and they have really liked it and I have also made it for my family and it's gone down so well! So here is a recipe if your looking to make it yourself.
What you will need
Base
  • 20 Crushed Oreos
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
Cheesecake filling
  • 170 g cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 300g powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 300g double cream
  • 15 Oreos, chopped
Topping
  • 6 Oreos, some crushed and some chopped
Instructions
To make the crust:
  1. Add the Oreos to a bag and seal it tight, use a hard object to bag the bag to crush all the Oreos. Add the melted butter and mix in a bowl until all of the crumbs are moistened and begin to form a stiff mix.
  2. Scoop the mixture into a 9" tin (you can line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper beforehand to make it easier to remove) and firmly pack it down into one even layer. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill while you make the cheesecake.
To make the cheesecake:
  1.  In a large mixing bowl using a hand-held mixer, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until well combined and smooth.
  2. Beat the double cream until it becomes really thick and forms peaks. Add in the chopped Oreos and gently fold in the cream and cream cheese until just combined.
  3. Remove the base from the refrigerator and scoop the cheesecake filling onto the base and gently spread it around into an even layer.
  4. If using the topping, add the extra chopped Oreos on top and gently press them down a little.
  5. Cover tightly and transfer back to the refrigerator for 4-5 hours or overnight.
  6. Remove the no-bake cheesecake from the pan, slice and enjoy!

Favourite Scent Over Summer

Zara - Lilly Pad

This has to be my favourite scent over the summer!
ZARA has some really good perfumes and if I'm honest the price is really good too!

There was many that I tried to see which one I liked the most and yes they all smell really good but this one stood out for me the most! It's such a good scent and for only £5.99 for 30ml is really good! I almost used it every day and I still haven't used up the whole bottle.

So summer is all about sun, beaches, fruit cocktails, and bright colours. This perfume has a fruity aroma and it's definitely long lasting. The website says the scent is - Fruit cocktail-Tangerine-Wood-Vanilla-Praline. All these together are really beautiful and I wore it all the way through summer. I would also say this would be a great scent for autumn and I think I will be wearing through to winter. If you're looking for a sweet and fruity scent then this one is for you. However if you're not the biggest fan of a fruity smell then you should definitely check out some of their other scents. If you're looking for a floral scent I recommend ZARA White, or if you're looking for something Oriental then I recommend ZARA Black. I will definitely be repurchasing this again because I find it such a beautiful scent and it's now one of my favourite perfumes.
